Michael Shannon was a Principal Dancer and danced for the Bolshoi Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Vienna State Opera Ballet, National Ballet of Portugal, Royal Swedish Ballet, Stars of the Bolshoi Ballet, Hungarian State Opera Ballet, and Kremlin Palace Ballet Theatre, with commendations from President Bush and President Clinton, and has performed for President and Mrs. Gorbachev, President Nazarbayev, and President and Mrs. Ford to name a few.

He is a National Endowment for the Arts Awardee, and Two-time Laureate and Medal winner of International Ballet Competitions in Paris, France, and Budapest, Hungary. He was Director and Chief Choreographer of the shortly revived Russian Imperial Theatre of Opera and Ballet under the Patronage of Her Imperial Highness the Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna Romanov.

This is a perfect class to do at home. The music is wonderful and comes from Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. The class contains barre, center, and pointe work. There are chapters for each particular exercises and other chapters for instruction. Because you can skip the instruction chapters, the Video Lesson is very user friendly and allows you to complete the class in less time. The young dancer is excellent and fun to watch. Also, the exercises are simple but eloquent. Furthermore, the flow of the class is wonderful. This is an intermediate level class for individuals who have had ballet experience in a classroom setting.

Take a classical dance course and it is very pleasant to follow: the courteous voice of Andrei Klemm, who expresses itself in a mixture of English, Russian and German (more French, classical dance obliges), piano accompaniment, like In a real dance class, dancers of a very high level, all very well filmed. he exercises are filmed for the left and right sides, so there is no need to restart the Video (very practical). About the exercises themselves, real beginners will have real difficulties after this course, because the exercises have to be done at a fairly fast pace, and therefore it is necessary to have a solid foundation, at least in the correct body positions to avoid injury. However, if you just watch the dancers, you can already learn a lot. Not all exercises in the middle are possible at home unless you have previously completely vacated your 30 m2 living room of all your furniture. However, all the barre exercises and the first exercises in the middle and jumping are already done for a good workout. I really recommend this Video to all enthusiasts looking to progress.

Best VIDEO training in a long time Clearly this is not a Video for beginner. You should have gone through various routines in order not to make mistakes. The routine itself is comprehensive and well laid out, you can see several dancers during a practice lesson, like in the ballet school the exercise is first pre-danced and then danced with music and all the dancers. The length is just right, you can see dancers doing the exercises on pointe shoes as well as those who dance in slippers. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to take a look at a new routine and has been dancing ballet for several years.

The barre exercises are of a very good level but nevertheless affordable for a teenager who has been dancing for several years. The environment is difficult to practice at home for lack of space. We still enjoy watching and it can help improve.
